Don't miss the BOAT

There's not enough room in any season to present all the flavors of theater that exist. Unless you tighten things up and scrunch everything together.

To that end, for the fourth time we present our "fringe festival," which we call the BOAT Festival for short. Short being appropriate, since the festival consists of works of 30 minutes or less. Among the 45 plays presented in the three previous BOATs, we had comedies and musicals, dramas and improv, kids shows and experiments. We had shows from all manner of groups from all over the area. Within the tight two-week schedule, audiences picked the shows they most wanted to see or just risked it all and saw everything, lining up to see the ones they liked again and again.

It's all general seating; it's the same price for everything; and if you don't wanna see some things, there's a helpful program guide to advise you.

What plays will I like this year? We have no way of knowing! Can I get my favorite seats? Maybe, maybe not! Will I like what I see? Sometimes yes, sometimes no, sometimes you'll LOVE what you see! But that's what a fringe experience is—you can't be wowed unless you take a chance.

And there are a lot more interesting flavors out there...

See you at the BOAT,
