Direct a play in 2009-2010, our 81st season
The Bellingham Theatre Guild is seeking submissions from prospective directors for our 81st season. The Committee will read all proposals and scripts submitted and welcomes newcomers and veterans alike. Download the cover letter for all prospective directors. Download play submission form (PDF) and submit by January 30, 2009 along with two copies of the script. Full directions are on the form. Submit a maximum of three shows you are interested in directing and submit each on a separate Play Submission Form. We have also included some sample budgets in order for you to better approximate the cost of your production. This year we would strongly welcome a children’s production (with children in the cast) sometime during the season. Note that this does not need to be a full-length production; we will consider a shorter work here. Also, we are interested in re-staging a production from our 1959-1960 season, which had a lot of great titles. See the cover letter for a list of those titles, or look in the History section of this site for shows from those years and from throughout the Guild's history, which will help you understand the kinds of productions that fit our audience. We may be interviewing directors before we make final selections sometime in March.
