Meet Harry and Sam: two old friends who like to pass the time posing outlandish questions to one another. These questions, shrouded in indifference, allow each man to question the other without asserting his fears. Eventually, time passes and the indifference melts into destruction—changing their friendship forever.

On the surface, The Harry and Sam Dialogues appear to be philosophical discussions between two blue-collar types who are way out of their league, but their discussions are surprisingly lively. They use what they can from their own lives, like milk and Ding-Dongs, to make sense of what everything means. They discuss all the big questions: Is there life after death? How are men and women different? And, of course, if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

Some strong language and adult situations.

This production was BTG’s entry at AACTFest’21 and won the Outstanding Acting Ensemble award and was nominated for Outstanding Production.

Cast and Crew Bios

	Jeff Braswell (Harry) Jeff has been performing and volunteering at BTG for over 20 years. He has immensely enjoyed working on this play during the lockdown and is grateful to this team of whadda-ya-call-its for patience, humor, and friendship.
	Les Campbell (Director/Set/Music) Les is extremely proud of the (national award-winning!) cast and crew of The Harry and Sam Dialogues. He has previously directed such BTG shows as Shipwrecked! and Glorious, as well as designed their sets.
	Christy Ham (Technical Director/Stage Manager, Lighting) Christy is very proud to be part of this very special production. When the rest of the world was on hold, it provided her a focus and connection for which she is truly grateful. Don’t die and ENJOY!
	Kevin Six (Sam) Kevin has been acting, directing and writing for the stage for over 30 years. He has worked at the Old Globe, Fritz, Intrepid Shakespeare and Scripps Ranch theatres in San Diego. This is Kevin’s second show at BTG.
	Pete Tryon (Set Construction) Pete has spent a number of years far behind the stage working on sets. His time as a geometry teacher certainly helped with all those cubes!
	Stan Snapp (Production Supervisor) Stan expressed delight in working with Les and Pete on designing and building these special set pieces.
