My Three Angels

My Three Angels
Auditions December 3-4, 2017
Performances January 26 to February 11, 2018
By Samuel Spewack and Bella Spewack, based on Le Cuisine des Anges by Albert Husson
Directed by Alan Peet

Presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York

The scene is French Guiana, a region where on Christmas day the temperature has graciously dropped to 104 degrees. Three convicts—two of them murderers, the third a swindler—stumble upon a family in dire need of angelic assistance against a bevy of unscrupulous relatives. Possessing every criminal art and penal grace, our convicts show their true colors as they go about setting matters right. This is a warm, charming comedy right for the whole family.

Audition Information
Cold readings from the script, and an intense session of improvisation and physical comedy will be part of the audition. Scapino! is not a musical; however, the cast does sing. One of the cast needs to play the piano. Clowning, gymnastics, bicycle riding, rope swinging, plate tossing—highly silly, athletic, and fast-paced physical comedy.
