BTG is holding open auditions for Groundhog Day: The Musical, September 27 - 28, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Callbacks if needed will be September 29, 2026.

BTG is looking for actors ages 18-60+ to audition for Groundhog Day: The Musical to fill 20 roles. Be prepared to sing 60 seconds (or one verse and chorus) of a contemporary pop/rock Broadway song in front of the creative team. A dance call will be conducted once everybody has sung. Bring tap shoes if you have them; tap experience is a plus. All roles will dance or otherwise move; comfortability moving and dancing is a plus. Everybody brings clothes and shoes that are comfortable to move in. We are actively seeking talent of all races, ethnicities, and gender identities.

Auditions will be cold readings from theatre-provided sides; it is recommended that candidates are familiar with the play prior to auditions. We are actively seeking talent of all races, ethnicities, and gender identities.

Roles:
- Catherine (F, 20s-30s): intellectually gifted, emotionally complex, dealing with depression and grief
- Claire (F, 20s-30s): Catherine's sister, overbearing, well-meaning, conflict avoidant, and practical.
- Hal (M, 20s-30s): Former student of Catherine's father, earnest, awkward and passionate about academics.
- Robert (M, 50s-60s): brilliant, we meet him at differing times in his mental decline appearing in flashbacks

- Harriet: His Chief of Staff. Any ethnicity, any age over 18.
- Jean: His Press Secretary. Any ethnicity, any age over 18.
- Stephanie: His Secretary. Any ethnicity, any age over 18. Must be comfortable taking off some amount of clothing on stage, and with being covered in blood.
- Dusty: His Dalliance. Any ethnicity, any age over 18. Should be comfortable with having to fake being sick/vomiting on stage.
- Bernadette: His Sister. White, any age over 18.
- Chris: A Journalist. Black, any age over 18.
