The Bellingham Theatre Guild loves to celebrate excellence among our volunteers, technical crews, and actors.
Here are the major awards given by BTG to acknowledge ongoing commitment and excellence to the organization and to the arts in our community.
Bentley Awards
Named for Roy Bentley, the Bentley Awards are bestowed at the annual awards ceremony held each August. Bentley Awards are focused on the productions from the previous season; a panel of independent judges create nominations and choose winners in a variety of categories, some standard (e.g., best show, best director) and some nonstandard and even whimsical (e.g., most enthusiastic set change).
See below for nominees and winners from the 2024-2025 season.
Olga Pattison Award
Awarded by the Board to an outstanding long-term volunteer who embodies the spirit and guiding principles of the Guild. This special award is named after Mrs. Olga Pattison, who devoted an enormous amount of time and energy to ensure the success of BTG.
Life Members
Life Membership is awarded by the Board of Directors to individuals who have shown outstanding engagement with and support for BTG.
Audience Choice Awards
The Audience Choice Award is treasured by the performers because it comes from YOU! This is your opportunity to make your choice known for Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Show from all of the shows you see this season.
Audience Choice Awards from the 2024-2025 season:
Male Actor: Brad Anderson, Home, I’m Darling
Female Actor: Lauren Brigolin, Home, I’m Darling
Show: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder
Voting is open all season to everyone that attends a performance. Membership is not required to vote, but we welcome your support. If you would like to become a Member of the BTG family and support the shows that you love, make a donation for $25 or more at https://bellinghamtheatreguild.com/donations/.
