Lend Us Your Ears play reading series presents “Heisenberg”
October 1, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

“Heisenberg” kicks off the Bellingham Theatre Guild’s play-reading series October 1, at 2:00 pm
LEND US YOUR EARS presents the compelling screwball relationship play HEISENBERG as the 2022-2023 season opener for the Pay-What-You-Will play-reading series.
LEND US YOUR EARS, the reading series at the Bellingham Theatre Guild, opens this season with Heisenberg, Simon Stephens’ devilishly sly two-hander, on October 1, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
The Pay-What-You-Will performance, directed by local director and teacher Shawn Fuller, follows the events that uncertainly transpire after a brash American woman in her 40s randomly kisses the back of the neck of a 75-year-old British butcher in a London train station. Playwright Simon Stephens, who also wrote the hit stage version of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” named this play Heisenberg after the physicist Heisenberg and his Uncertainty Principle, which posits that anything you witness cannot accurately predict where it will go or end up, and has weaved this unpredictable journey of two disparate people, which has nothing at all to do with “Breaking Bad.” Produced heavily throughout the US and the world, this playful clashing of opposite people will be performed in this single reading by skilled local actors, and contains adult language and situations.
LEND US YOUR EARS (with the mission: Good Plays Read Well) produces matinee readings with local actors in front of the curtains, with general admission seating and the audience choosing what it wants to pay. No reservations necessary and any questions can be directed to LUYE Artistic Director, Sean Walbeck (sean@gigglewax.com, 360-647-9242).
HEISENBERG is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection (www.dramatists.com).
