Director: Les Campbell
Performances: November 29 – December 15, 2024
Auditions: October 6-8, 2024

About the show:
Dorante is a charming and handsome young fellow with one flaw: He can't tell the truth! On arriving in Paris, Dorante quickly meets his new manservant Cliton (who can't tell a lie!), and falls for the lovely Clarice (who he mistakes for her best friend Lucrece). Dorante spins a series of lies trying to keep Clarice, Lucrece, his best friend Alcippe and his father Geronte all happy, but each lie he tells gives birth to two more. Can he keep his stories straight long enough to keep everyone in the dark and still get the girl?

LUYE, Bellingham Theatre Guild’s reading series, kicks off 7th season with tricky drama “The Vandal” December 7th, at 2pm
LEND US YOUR EARS, the reading series at the Bellingham Theatre Guild, kicks off its seventh season with The Vandal, the deceptively simple tale of a woman who meets a boy at a bus stop near a liquor store. The Pay-What-You-Will stage reading has returning LUYE director Mijo Stumpf (The Elephant’s Graveyard, Mary’s Wedding) directing film and television actor Hamish Linklater’s popular American play with interesting turns that contains adult language, adult situations, amazing performances from local actors and . . . surprises.
LEND US YOUR EARS (with the mission: Good Plays Read Well) produces matinee readings with local actors in front of the curtains, with general admission seating and the audience choosing what it wants to pay. No reservations necessary and any questions can be directed to LUYE Artistic Director, Sean Walbeck (sean@gigglewax.com, 360-647-9242).

Auditions: Home, I’m Darling
Auditions: Home, I’m Darling
We’re holding open auditions December 8 and 9 for...
Home, I'm Darling
By Laura Wade
Directors: Lilian Furlong and Rylan MacDonald
Performances: January 31 – February 16, 2025
Auditions: December 8-10, 2024
About the show:
It's easy to romanticize the past, and for Judy and Jonny nothing will ever beat the bubbly pastels of the 1950s. The image of marital bliss, the couple devotes every paycheck to living, dressing, eating, and breathing like it's the post-war boom. But when their flowery facade begins to crumble under 21st Century pressures, the two learn some things are better left behind. A dark comedy full of heart and humor, Home, I'm Darling questions our rose-tinted view of the past and what is learned—and lost—when we move forward.
About the auditions:
Auditions will involve cold reads and light improv work to warm up. Please dress comfortably and wear shoes that are easy to move in. Please be aware that the script content involves discussions of domestic violence and light stage intimacy.
