A distant heir to a family fortune sets out to speed up the line of succession by using a great deal of charm...and a dash of murder. When the low-born Monty Navarro finds out that he's eighth in line for an earldom in the lofty D'Ysquith family, he figures his chances of outliving his predecessors are slight and sets off down a far more ghoulish path. Can he knock off his unsuspecting relatives without being caught and become the ninth Earl of Highhurst? And what of love? Because murder isn't the only thing on Monty's mind.

LUYE, Bellingham Theatre Guild’s reading series, ends its seventh season with the salacious farce “POTUS," June 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm
LEND US YOUR EARS, the reading series at the Bellingham Theatre Guild, ends their seventh season with a rambunctious, salacious farce surrounding a scandal-plagued President and the women who save his bacon. POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, Selena Fillinger’s smash Broadway hit and one of the most produced plays in the country, follows the outrageously comic turmoil the unseen President’s action have on the women in the White House. This celebrated comedy performs on June 21st, 2025 at 2:00 pm on the Bellingham Theatre Guild stage.
The Pay-What-You-Will performance, directed by Sean Walbeck, follows the Chief of Staff and Press Secretary trying to put out political embarrassment, scandals, bad ideas, and very graphic shenanigans with a host of other women at the mercy of a Chief Executive’s whims and peccadillos. POTUS will be performed by talented local actors and contains very adult language and extremely adult situations and may or may not put a president in hilarious jeopardy.
LEND US YOUR EARS (with the mission: Good Plays Read Well) produces matinee readings with local actors in front of the curtains, with general admission seating and the audience choosing what it wants to pay. No reservations necessary and any questions can be directed to LUYE Artistic Director, Sean Walbeck (sean@gigglewax.com, 360-647-9242).
“POTUS” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com
