Directors Pizza Party
Directors Pizza Party
Hey Directors (and Director-Curious Folks),
Thinking about directing a show at the Bellingham Theatre Guild next season? Great—because we’ve got pizza and answers. (Mostly the pizza.)
Join us for this year’s Prospective Directors’ Pizza Party and get the inside scoop on how to pitch a show at the BTG.
Here’s what’s on the menu besides carbs and cheese:
- How to submit a proposal that’ll make us say “YES!” instead of “huh?”
- What we’re looking for as we build a season that’s exciting, doable, and contains a reasonable number of musicals.
- Potential season calendars so you can plan your theatrical world domination.
- A chance to ask all your burning questions about directing at BTG—yes, even that one.
PLUS: Our smaller, scrappier sibling team, BTG Satellites, will also be there! They’re the folks behind the BTG/New Prospect Theatre partnership productions, and if you’re curious about directing something a little edgier, more intimate, or just different, they’re your go-to crew. Come ask them questions, too—they would love to hear from you.
You'll also get to mingle with current directors, BTG Board members, and potential assistant directors. Did we mention there will be pizza and a variety of beverages? Because there will be pizza and a variety of beverages.
Sunday, August 31st
2:00 PM
Reception Room, Guild Playhouse – 1600 H Street, Bellingham WA
Newbies and returning directors alike are encouraged to come hang out. Bring your curiosity, your appetite, and maybe a pen.
See you there!
Joe Urdiales
Vice President of Production, BTG
Mijo Stumpf
