No tickets are needed for this pay-what-you-will performance. Please come to the playhouse for general seating.

LEND US YOUR EARS, the reading series at the Bellingham Theatre Guild, concludes its fifth season with The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, the popular comedy written by the comedy writing powerhouses Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten about the enduring nature of kinship over decades. The reading performs on June 17th, 2023, at 2:00 pm.

The Pay-What-You-Will performance, directed by Jeff Braswell, follows the lives of five college swim team friends and the adventurous check-ins they have during their annual reunions. From their forties to their seventies, these women support and witness the tumultuous results maturity forces on them as they move deeper into their well-lived lives. Written by the prolific writing team of Jones Hope Wooten, as part of their amazing catalog of contemporary comedies concerning middle-aged women of the Southern US, The Sweet Delilah Swim Club delivers laughter, hijinks, and heart. This fast-moving tale will be performed in this single reading by local actors and contains adult languages and situations.

LEND US YOUR EARS (with the mission: Good Plays Read Well) produces matinee readings with local actors in front of the curtains, with general admission seating and the audience choosing what it wants to pay. No reservations necessary and any questions can be directed to LUYE Artistic Director, Sean Walbeck (sean@gigglewax.com, 360-647-9242).

THE SWEET DELILAH SWIM CLUB is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)

Join Amalia and Georg to discover the identity of their true loves...and all the twists and turns along the way!

She Loves Me follows Amalia and Georg, two parfumerie clerks who aren’t quite the best of friends. Constantly bumping heads while on the job, the sparring coworkers can’t seem to find common ground.
