Scapino!
Auditions February 4-5, 2018
Performances March 30 to April 15, 2018
By Frank Dunlop and Jim Dale
Directed by Teri Grimes
Presented by special arrangement with Dramatic Play Publishing
Rave reviews from every critic on Broadway! With the first line of the play, we plunge into the situation as Octavio cries, "I am lost! I am ruined! What am I to do? My world is crumbling around me. Disaster after disaster!" Into this comes Scapino who states, "The good Lord has blessed me with quite a genius for clever ideas and inspired inventions which the less talented, in their jealousies, call deceits and trickery!" Fantastic fun for the whole family—kids and adults both will love the fast-paced and physical hijinks of this timeless comedy.

Painting Churches by Tina Howe — a Lend Us Your Ears reading series performance
Join BTG for a “Lend Us Your Ears” performance of this award-winning play.
Painting Churches
by Tina Howe
April 7, 2018 | 2:00 pm
This reading is “Pay-What-You-Will” at the door | No tickets/reservations necessary.
This performance, directed by Sean Walbeck, follows the high-risk portrait by an up-and-coming painter of her parents, the Churches; a Pulitzer-winning poet father in decline and her loudly long-suffering mother. Quirky, funny, and heart-breaking, Painting Churches features local actors Robert Simmons, Terry Sacks, and Alycia Francis. One of America’s most produced plays, Painting Churches contains some adult language and adult situations.
Lend Us Your Ears (with the mission: Good Plays Read Well) produces matinee readings with local actors in front of the curtains, with general admission seating and the audience choosing what it wants to pay.
