    Synopsis
Sister Act is a feel-good musical comedy like “nun” other! The play follows the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva who, after witnessing a murder committed by her boyfriend, is put into protective custody in the one place where her ex is least likely to find her—a convent. Being disguised as a nun can’t cramp her style. Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood. The play features original music by Tony and Oscar winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Aladdin, Little Mermaid)!

Courtesy Warning: Recommended for young teens and up. There are gunshots, theatrical gun violence, and adult situations and language.

SISTER ACT is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI (www.mtishows.com).

  • Lend Us Your Ears reading series presents “Incendiary”

“Incendiary,” a fiery noir comedy, lands as a LUYE reading on the Bellingham Theatre Guild’s stage on December 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm

LEND US YOUR EARS, the reading series at the Bellingham Theatre Guild, starts its eighth season with the Adam Szymkowicz hit neo-noir comedy about arson, love and complicated relationships, Incendiary. One of the prolific Szymkowicz’s most popular plays, Incendiary mixes crime, justice, fire, love and therapy as a potent cocktail of volatile combustion and will be performed on December 6th at 2:00 pm on the BTG stage.

The Pay-What-You-Will performance, directed by Les Campbell, follows the dedicated fire chief whose arson habit jeopardizes her burgeoning relationship with her chief arson investigator and the progress she’s making in therapy. A fierce comedy filled with ever surprising thrills, Incendiary will be performed by talented local actors and contains adult language, adult situations, and very bad behavior.

LEND US YOUR EARS (with the mission: Good Plays Read Well) produces matinee readings with local actors in front of the curtains, with general admission seating and the audience choosing what it wants to pay. No reservations necessary.

INCENDIARY is produced by special arrangement with Broadway Play Publishing Inc, NYC www.broadwayplaypublishing.com

The Bellingham Theatre Guild is a volunteer theater that has been serving the Whatcom County community since 1929. More information about BTG can be found at www.bellinghamtheatreguild.com.
